UC Berkeley offers the following Telugu language courses:

Elementary Telugu 1A and 1B: These courses focus on systematic grammar, essential vocabulary, and conversations to achieve basic reading, writing, and conversational competence in Telugu, as well as exposure to Telugu culture and traditions.

In addition to the language courses, UC Berkeley has also launched the Berkeley Telugu Initiative through the Institute for South Asia Studies. The goal of this initiative is to establish UC Berkeley as a leading hub for Telugu literature, humanities, performance, and social science studies outside of India.

Some key aspects of the Berkeley Telugu Initiative include:

1. Offering funding for Telugu-related research through the Telugu Society of America (TELSA) Summer Studies Research Award.
2. Aiming to raise a $1.5 million endowment to support permanent Telugu language and literature instruction at UC Berkeley.
3. Fostering academic connections between UC Berkeley and Telugu-focused programs in India.
4. Increasing the Telugu language holdings in UC Berkeley's renowned South Asia collection.

So in summary, UC Berkeley currently offers elementary-level Telugu language courses and has an active initiative to expand its Telugu studies program and offerings in the future.

Many counties in USA are implementing Telugu for admin use. Just have a look and put your efforts to include Telugu use in further more counties.

Telugu appears on ballot boxes and voting materials in several US counties, particularly in California, for the 2020 US presidential election and beyond.

Specifically:

The Santa Clara County in California lets voters register for mail-in voting in six Indian languages, including Telugu.

Los Angeles County, the most populous county in the US, has listed Telugu as a 'mandated' language for providing voting assistance, along with Hindi, Bengali, and Gujarati.

In Alameda County, California, election materials and voting support have been made available in three Indian languages including Telugu, in addition to 13 other languages.

In Loudon County, Virginia, sample ballots were provided in Telugu for the 2020 election, which was the first time this happened in US history.

So in summary, Telugu has been included as one of the languages available on mail-in voting forms and materials in several US counties, especially in California, to cater to the growing Telugu-speaking population in the country.

The US is a liberal country founded with principles of equal respect and recognition. Telugu people are contributing immensely to the economy of America. Pressure groups should take up with administration for a better position of Telugu language.

The following news mentions about Vietnamese language becoming official language of San Francisco. We the Telugu people boast we are the one of the top most growing languages in USA.

We have to retrospect and need to arrive at the reasons for Telugu is not considered.
Whether we have less no. than Vietnamese?
Whether there is complacency on the part of Telugu people?
Whether the Telugu groups are ignorant of such provisions in USA?
It is time to think and act.
//// Or if it is already declared, whether its use is encouraged or not ?////
